Providers (BYOK), routing and model adaptation.
The fourth group in Settings, "Models", covers which models you use and how they're tuned. Pages marked advanced appear only after you turn on "Show advanced settings" at the bottom of the sidebar.
Providers (BYOK)
Connect models with your own API keys. Works without signing in.
- Add — pick a common provider and paste a key; for a relay or your own gateway choose "Custom provider", enter the address and key, and the protocol is detected from the address
- Import from this machine — scans other tools on this computer for providers and keys you've already set up; tick and import
- Pick models — choose which models appear in the model menu, grouped into chat, image, speech, transcription and embeddings
- Health check — each provider shows healthy, slow, warning or error

Routing advanced
Attach the same model to several providers so that if one is unavailable the next takes over. Three strategies: in order, fastest (lowest current latency), or round-robin. Once created, pick the route's name in the model menu.
Model Adaptation advanced
Adjust one model on its own; changes apply only to that model and can be reset any time.
- Simple — fix specific symptoms, e.g. "keeps failing to edit files" switches it to whole-file rewrites; add instructions that apply only to this model
- Geek — change individual parameters and turn off specific tools
